Quayside Linear Park

Building on the success of the Quayside marina, Colour were commissioned by NE1, Newcastle Upon Tyne’s international award-winning Business Improvement District company to visualise a bold and creative vision for a new waterfront park that would transform the perception and experience of the famous Quayside on an international and aspirational level.

The vision of activity includes enhanced connectivity, viewing points for the spectacular river gorge landmarks, a tidal boardwalk at water level, floating swimming pool, a wider scheme of ecological improvements to the River Tyne, opportunities for water sports and chill-out zones. Considering both the day and night experience was fundamental to the response.
