BRIDGELIFE @BLACKFRIARS

Utilising the redundant piers of the London Chatman and Dover Railway, Colour propose a multilevel river crossing like no other.  In the tradition of inhabited bridges, it would be an activity destination for all ages with the climbing walls, an aerial park with tidal cafe and Human powered water features. The engineering structure of the bridge creates functional forms and elements, such as seating. By creating opportunities for promenading, play and recreation for all ages, communities once separated by the river would have a reason to reconnect
