Parliament Hill & William Ellis Secondary Schools & Sixth Form

The project involves re-modelling of two schools and La Swap sixth form located adjacent to London's rambling and hilly Hampstead Heath. as an area of diverse ecology, preserving the existing habitats, links to the surrounding landscape and the structure of the site, was key. Navigating the sensitive Dartmouth Park conservation area requirements and public views, the scheme provides improved treatments to the site frontage and building proposal. Large underused expanses of the site have been unlocked for use by adjusting site level changes and connecting the site back to the heath. Several naturalistic external spaces for learning, socializing and dining have been programmed, including a new arrival plaza and unique 'green room' for William Ellis, to an ampitheatre and habitat research garden for Parliament Hill.
