Salalah Ecoresort

Colour were asked by one of our Middle East partners to produce proposals for an eco-retreat close to the unique Omani city of Salalah, the only place on the Arabian peninsula where monsoon weather patterns are experienced.  

Set between mountains and estuary on raised land, these ridge retreats will enjoy panoramic views from both inside and out. The close experience of nature is inspired by the winter beach camps of the region. It includes a Majlis terrace and internal plunge pool with a lush living wall and architectural water fall. A planted desert roof system would help insulate the building and provide attractive views from retreats further up the ridge.

 Colour used groundbreaking gaming software for the visualisations and a walk through animation.
