Milburngate Housing

153 luxury PRS apartments are currently being built as part of this multi-million pound mixed use development in the heart of Durham City.

The overall site masterplan incorporates these in a distinct character area within the overall site, providing definition from commercial areas and a feeling of semi-private defensible space.

Apartment blocks are arranged around a central courtyard space, providing green views, a welcoming arrival statement and usable leisure space for residents away from the busier public spaces on site.

Each block includes a shared roof terrace space, intended to be a social area where residents can meet their neighbours with a choice of seating locations whilst appreciating spectacular views over the wider City towards the Durham Cathedral World Heritage Site and the River Wear.
