Smiths Dock
Contemporary public realm led masterplan to provide over 1200 new homes on derelict shipyards to create a dramatic gateway to Britain from the North Sea on the River Tyne. Landscape infrastructrue and public spaces coordinate the work of four architectural practices that feed into regional, riverside and local cycle and pedestrian routes. Industrial relics have been incorporated into a contemporary design aesthetic.
